@Diane Thanks for sharing your views. Flow is great. I have built several of these rollup flows and there is even a video out there from Salesforce which I think everyone should watch if they're not familiar with flows. However, there are two issues with Flow.
1. No Real Time Rollup: You need either a record change or creation to trigger the flow. You do not have real time rollup so if someone just wants to view the rollup value on the record or a report withoout a save/creation, this will not work. As an alterantive, you could schedule the flow, but the interval you are able to schedule it is limited and it will only run when you schedule it so still this is not a smooth real time rollup.
2. Automation limit for PE: This will eat up one alloted spot for Flow. This is especially important when you are on PE as they have strict PB and Flow limits.
I am still looking forward to a better explanation from Salesforce in terms of why this is not possible real time or OOTB. I am tired of running into this issue, to provide my clients better intelligence into their data.

I've upvoted this idea but want to share that the new after update flow provides a great workaround and allows you to rollup records related by a lookup relationship. You need a record creation or change to trigger the flow. I've triggered on creation of a related record or when specific fields on the related records are updated. Create a field to store the rollup value. Create a flow that first queries for related records that meet whatever criteria you need. Create a flow formula that calculates the rollup value (count, sum, max, min, avg, mean and more work). Finally, have the flow update the record with the rollup value. It works great though I have not tested it calculating values when there are more than 100 or so related records.

When I was a weeeee little intern—about 12 years ago—I remember needing this feature quite vividly. If relationship exists → just count 'em up. So simple, even an intern can do it.

You've purchased every other company on the planet. Purchase Rollup Helper and GET THIS DONE! You've had 10 years to figure this out. Don't tell us about performance issues when Rollup Helper has been out there and working for eight years. Solving coding problems is your job, not ours. We're at 51K+ upvotes. How big a message do you need before you recognize the importance of something?
