Let US decide if there is a security issue. Add the option for CONTACTS. This way we can create a contact record and send the reports to this contact email address. You are preventing us from sending COMPANY information to INTERNAL company users via a distribution email. Your security concern has no merit because we can create a User in the org with any email address we want. Then schedule reports to that user. This is the same risk! It is clear this is about licensing and not security.

As you are concerned about data saecurtiy, I have created a Chatter free sales force user and I am trying to subscribe and send reports tho that user. Still when I search for that chatter free user in the "add recepients" option, the user is not available.

We have users with in the company that we need to send reports too but do not have a saleforce account since they do not use saleforce. Also we would like to be able to send to a Distrobution Mail. This is a basic feature in other CRM's. Seems Salesforce is behind in this or just want to force businesses to buy more licenese than they need.

It is very much needed functionality. System Admin will not schedule a report to be sent outside the org without discussing with stake holders. Let stake holders decide if it is secure or unsecure their company/org data outside the salesforce.
I couldn't agree with @Anusha Surepeddi

@Anusha Surepeddi This should be the basic/standard functionality which every company needs and admins should have the ability to make decisions about org data security and control the subscribers list including non-users to send reports to.
Understanding the data governance and security implications is important, but the point of not considering this due to "protecting the information stored in Salesforce" is not really valid since at the end of the day a report can still be downloaded or forwarded by email to "unintended parties" by a user or use other 3rd party appexchange tools to achive this.
Any update when the PDF idea will be implemented and will this be a standard feature?

Hi all - in the interest of protecting the information you store in Salesforce, we do not have any plans of implementing this idea. Sending reports containing your data to non-authenticated users doesn't align with our Trust value, as this scenario could potentially lead to your data being sent to unintended parties. We're actively considering adding the option to generate reports as PDFs, which could then be shared, as needed, with those authorized to receive the information. The PDF idea is one included in the May 2019 round of IdeaExchange Prioritization, which is open through June 2. Visit https://sfdc.co/PrioritizeIdeas to learn more.
