Users and Leaders often want to review records especially Opportunities and related objects like product. They want to be able to see everything in one place to be able to review and potentially change field values. Third party tools like hca rewards are able to provide but with additional cost on top of Salesforce's licensing cost.

Inline editing of reports is only a tiny fraction of what ZaapIt does. I am a super user of https://appexchange.salesforce.com/listingDetail?listingId=a0N30000009uXwyEAE
https://www.zaapit.com/ and one of the major things I find is helpful is having the ability to have automation processes happen along with seeing / visualizing my data and making decisions on the fly. Zaap has deduping UX as well as endless pre-built tables that allows users to replace "related lists" on lighting pages with Zaapit related lists...so you can see / fix instantly instead of having to build "another report" You can fix your info directly from the tables and remove the native related lists. You can also give editing-rights to users etc. If you can dream it, Zaap can do it. I made a PIM system with ZaapIt as welll allowing me to relate tens of thousands of records on the fly from zaapit tables...Ben and the team at Zaap are geniuses and their product is possibly one of the best in the exchange. I shouldn't say it, but SF should buy this product from them for millions of dollars instead of trying to reinvent the wheel themselves...but then, I won't get the service that Zaap gives me...so please don't do that. LOL Anyone can reach out to me anytime...I have a lot of knowledge on the in's and outs of this product...SOQL is another amazing aspect of this product...you can build reports with fields from related objects and see it on the fly so you don't have to leave the page you are on to get things done fast. You prioritized it and now we’re building it! Thank you, Trailblazers, for helping us shape our product roadmap. Inspired by this idea, we’re working on the following feature:
Inline editing of reports
Provides inline editing for reports so that you don't have to drill into each record separately to edit it. Similar to list views, provide the ability to double click onto a record and do an inline edit right there without leaving the report.
Estimated GA Release: Spring ‘22

This idea was up for prioritization in the May 2020 cycle. Product managers are reviewing the results, which you can find on the Prioritization tab, as part of release planning for Spring '21 and beyond. Top prioritized ideas that move into development will be announced when release planning concludes in late August 2020.
