    A feature based on this idea to increase the limit of custom fields that can be defined on the Activities object is included in the next cycle of IdeaExchange Prioritization from September 14 - 28. Note: formula fields will not count towards the 100-field limit of Activity.     Absolutely need more. Advertised as 800 with Unlimited Edition but limited to 100 for Activities????

    As our Org grows we continue to receive integration requests with other products which I would think Salesforce would want to support as it increases the stickyness factor. Each integration typically comes with with a managed package that is requiring new activity fields and we are already using 100. I am out of options at this point and we will have to start deferring integrations. I would rate this as the number 1 issue impacting our org.

    How can this possibly still be simply 'Open' with no comment from Salesforce in 13 years?!?!

    This is simply the worst limitation in Salesforce right now, and one that makes no sense at all considering other objects have a limit of 800 fields.  I am getting tired of always having to explain to our business leaders that "no, they cannot have a new task or event field" due to a years old limitiation set by Salesforce.

    To be honest though, I am not sure a comment here really helps as the silence from Salesforce on this is deafening!

    We have a limit of 100 custom fields on Activity object and a managed package that already accounts for half of these fields. We want to use tasks and events as steps in processes. This limitation will block us at some point, sooner than later. We strongly agree with this:
    "Please increase or don't count the Managed Package custom fields against the limit."

    We are unable to install the zoom integration due to this limitation :(
    It's critical to have more than 100 custom fields in order to capture the data from the installed packages.

    Please consider increasing the limit. This is really needed when we have lot of app exchange packages installed in the Org.
