How can this not have 80,000 votes? We evaluate our sales team, both in their performance plans as well as friendly in-house recognition on total numbers of client visits - needing to show growth month over month but also year over year (since some months are just slower then others). Yes, I can export all and handle in excel, but this should be a simple dashboard that managers can track for themselves. Ugh!

This is the issue I ran into when I tried to find the past tasks to update values.
Neither the activity reports nor fast lookup in the flow find some tasks and that frustrated me for a while until I found this post. It’s hard to believe why Salesforce does set the limit on the past task records.
One thing I found -
If you edit the archived past tasks no matter with or without any change, it suddenly appeared in the report. By this behavior, I assume the archived tasks can be retrieved in the scope of the report as long as it’s MODIFIED within 365 days.
But nothing better than Salesforce makes it reportable as default despite too many task records worldwide archived in their data space and a burden to running the queries.

We have a weekly pipeline report for our deals. It would be great to be able to archive and compare the data over weeks, monthly, and years (and graph multiple iterations to compare the data too). Is this possible via Wave/Einstein Analytics? or a feature in the near future? Looking back on your deal history can improve future deal performance. Thank you!

Maybe they are focusing too much on that building instead of their product...
I think this is a good idea that could be developed faster than increasing the limits of archived data if you would like to vote for it
